It’s our favorite time of the year again: Giving Tuesday, which is on Nov. 30. We had such a great time supporting nonprofits last year that we’re excited to do it again! This year, we’ll be supporting these five amazing nonprofits:

- TreesCharlotte
- One Place
- Common Wealth Charlotte
- Catawba Lands Conservancy
Here’s how YDM’s Giving Tuesday will work:
We’ll post on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn on Tuesday, Nov. 30. Comment on the post tagging one of the five nonprofits you would like to support, and Yellow Duck Marketing will donate $1 to the charity of choice, up to $5,000 total. One comment per person per platform.
Spread the word, tag your friends and share our social media posts and show some love for these nonprofits! We’ll keep this running until Dec. 15.

The HEARTest Yard
Inspired by his son’s fight for life and his recent heart transplant, the HEARTest Yard is a program created by Greg Olsen for families who are adjusting to life as parents of a child with congenital heart disease. The cutting-edge program provides families with a multitude of services including in-home, private nursing care, physical therapy and speech therapy, among other benefits. The program is designed to complement the world-class medical treatment provided by Levine Children’s Hospital. The HEARTest Yard provides these services to families at no charge, while incurring no additional expense to the hospital.

TreesCharlotte
TreesCharlotte is a public/private nonprofit collaboration to grow, diversify and steward the city’s iconic urban forest. Trained volunteers and science-based programs teach residents about the value of trees and how to plant and care for them. Known as “The City of Trees,” Charlotte has a wonderful foundation for maintaining high canopy standards. However, a detailed analysis shows the city must take a more aggressive approach to ensure the continued health and well-being of the tree canopy and must actively plant thousands of trees to account for growth and development in the city and around the region.

One Place
Formerly known as Onslow County Partnership for Children, One Place is a nonprofit organization in Jacksonville, North Carolina, that creates hope for families by connecting them with resources and programs to end child abuse. For more than 20 years, One Place has worked to strengthen the systems of care surrounding children and families through public-private partnerships. One Place believes that by investing in children and families, they can provide the resources and programs to end child abuse and create a stronger, more resilient future for our community.
Common Wealth Charlotte
Common Wealth Charlotte’s (CWC) mission is to be a catalyst for changing lives. CWC replaces uncertainty and reliance on charitable and government assistance with financial capability, equipping Charlotte’s economically vulnerable population with trauma-informed education, certified financial counseling, asset- and wealth-building skills, and access to banking services and 0% interest loans. CWC believes that being financially capable is the foundation of true upward economic mobility. More importantly, financial capability brings hope – and hope goes a long way to heal trauma.

Catawba Lands Conservancy
Catawba Lands Conservancy (CLC) is a land trust – a nonprofit, community-based conservation organization that permanently conserves and manages land for public benefit in the Southern Piedmont of North Carolina. Their six-county land protection area includes Catawba, Gaston, Iredell, Lincoln, Mecklenburg and Union counties. CLC permanently conserves over 190 properties, totaling nearly 17,000 acres of land, including the Carolina Tread Trail which spans 15 counties. That land includes farmland, ecologically rich lands to protect wildlife habitat and local drinking water, and land to provide the public with a direct connection to explore the natural world around them.
