Hi! I’m Jamie the Client Engagement and Communications Manager at Yellow Duck and am thrilled to bring a background that includes real estate, non-profit arts and municipal government to this amazing team. I was born to be a duck! I was born in Virginia, raised in Minnesota, literally known as the land of 10,000 lakes, and am now happily rooted in North Carolina, where I earned my B.A. in Marketing and Management from UNC Wilmington. Each step in my life and career has been like moving from pond to pond, embracing new challenges and opportunities along the way.
My career started in real estate, where I gained over a decade of experience. Ready for a change, I dove into the non-profit arts world, spending seven years with Blumenthal Performing Arts, raising funds and support for the arts community. Most recently, I served as Public Information Officer for a local municipality, where I led city-wide communications, marketing and brand management. At Yellow Duck, I get to put all my experience to work managing public relations and supporting our new business efforts.
I’m all about community and creativity! Outside of work, I love spending time with my husband, Jeff, two kids and our rescue dog. I’m passionate about animals, the arts, the NC mountains and anything that lets me flex my creativity – whether it’s a home project or planning our next family adventure.
I was beyond excited to bring my energy, experience, and love of connecting with people to Yellow Duck and love making waves with this awesome team!
