Social Media & Content Manager
Wynee Bermudez
Hiii! I’m Wynee (like the Pooh) and I’m the Social Media and Content Manager at YDM. I’ve been making a splash at the Duck Pond since 2019, which is a long time considering I can’t swim (😉). I’m the bridge between social strategy and creativity. My favorite content opportunities involve:
🎥 Bringing to life locally-owned businesses for our clients through social video.
👯 Influencer Marketing. For client Felicetti, we worked with a cooking youtuber on a series of cooking videos that brought more than 200,000 views on social.
💗 The yearly YDM #GivingTuesday social campaign. Which takes an involved approach to our audiences across all social media platforms to help us donate to 4-5 non-profits by engaging with + sharing our posts.
I enjoy sharing my social media knowledge and have taught Social Media 101 classes to both IREM and United Way charities. I was also a Skillpop teacher, teaching a “Tiktok Essentials” online class.
My journey started when I graduated from USC-Upstate with a degree in Mass Media. I moved to Miami, FL and dove headfirst into the events industry at a fine dining restaurant in Downtown Miami. I also became a Marketing Coordinator for a local creative agency, where I assisted on event campaigns with companies like Google, Lyft, Nike and Heineken. I realized that I enjoyed marketing and social media and was great at it so I pivoted to a Content Writer for a remote social media agency with clients all over the country.
In 2018, I decided to make the move back to my home state of North Carolina. I worked at Electrolux Professional as the Marketing Specialist for their Latin American region and quickly realized working in a corporate setting is just not for me. In 2021, I received The Charlottean of the Year award for my Tiktok efforts on highlighting and promoting small businesses during the height of COVID-19. Safe to say, I love staying up to date with all social trends, and I’m eager to continue to take our clients’ content and engagement to new levels.
YEARS AT YDM: 5
Fun fact: I’m casually working on becoming trilingual, I take daily French Duolingo lessons to not break my streak.
