Yellow Duck Marketing is sailing into summer in growth mode. Our agency is excited to announce the addition of a new duck to the pond, Amanda Adams-Thompson. Amanda will serve as our Director of Client Services and be the face you see most for many of our accounts.
A North Carolina native, Amanda brings over seven years of agency experience with her, including time spent copywriting, coordinating advertising campaigns and creating external communication materials. She began her marketing career at Fort Wayne, Indiana-based Asher Agency, where she most recently worked as an Account Supervisor. There she analyzed market research data and developed and managed marketing plans for more than 1,200 Subway restaurants across North Carolina, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Delaware, as well as Fantastic Sam’s Cut and Color Salons. Amanda generated $1.1 million in annual client sales by leading the market launch of four new products and six internal and external promotional campaigns.
With her ability to provide excellent service to clients paired with her research-based management skills, Amanda will keep Yellow Duck accounts on track as she becomes the point person on many of our accounts.
A self-described geek, Amanda earned her undergraduate degree in broadcast communication and communication studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an MBA degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Currently, she serves as the Community Impact Council Marketing & PR Vice Chair for Junior League of Charlotte.
Her swim to work is short, as she lives with her husband and toy poodle, Leon, in Historic Wilmore a few blocks away. She loves NPR and the water-based activities of kayaking and scuba diving. She’s also a Grey’s Anatomy aficionado!
